Lots of reasons to celebrate and be filled with love & joy !

I am so excited to share with you all my feature in Child Couture Magazine. Such an honor to be along side so many of my favorite friends.

The photos below were taken at a mentor session that came all the way in from NC to spend some time with me. We did a model call for a big dog and child – Jolene and Aubrie made the cut almost immediately. I was so excited to have a Great Dane to photograph as I grew up having a Great Dane (Hugo) . After seeing the amazing “blue” color of Jolene I knew that this Anna Triant star dress would be a perfect fit. I jazzed it up with this super cool shoes from Target and topped it off – literally with a fun black top hat for a few photos.

“Why fit in when you can stand out “

Ok, so I went there … of course I went there ! I love all things PINK and well lucky for me so does this little one.

I had a vision for a couple years (it involved flamingos, walking flamingos and a whole bunch of cuteness) – I just wasn’t sure when I would do it … how I would do it … I just knew I was going to do it. When my twins turned 5 I was totally not ready. Well I was kind of ready I had already bought the flamingos, ordered the dresses … It just happened so fast it was the end of summer we were all so busy with life , kids going back to school … than back to school germs (blahhhhh) I had no chance of getting their session done. 

So I patiently just waited until after all my holiday sessions. I put them in my calendar on a set date in my studio this way I made sure – there is no excuse this is happening. 

Oh wait …so … I guess I am forgetting a HUGE part – this A M A Z I N G dress soooo I have the most talented friend who creates the most amazing dresses. Her name is Whitney,  Little dreamers tutus is her company and if you have not heard of her yet … you are welcome :-D!!!

I came to Whitney with this idea of a dress. I knew I wanted PINK, layers, high low, ombre and … well I wanted to mimic a flamingo of course. We threw our glitter together and came up with amazing dress. It turned out better than I have ever imagined.  It’s so soft. So beautiful.

My daughter L O V E D it and didn’t complain about anything itchy or bothering her ( which … I have the sickest children EVER when it comes to clothes ) 

Next…the shoes. Listen … I had no clue what I was doing for shoes. I had all these ideas and visions and nothing seemed perfect enough …until I online and found these amazing twinkle toes shoes from Sketchers. Talk about another match made in heaven. She didn’t want to take these bad boys off (I am pretty sure she would have slept in them if I let her – ha ) . To top it off – do you see the flamingo on the ice-cream cone <3 I mean … just everything !

This last image is my F A V O R I T E ever … it’s totally not in focus – I missed the mark. However, I don’t care. It’s all for ME I love this moment. I will never forget it and I have it for keeps forever <3  So just remember … I let you pick your photos from your sessions and YES sometimes I leave moments just like these to pick from. WHY ? Because … why not – they are moments , memories and you should have the choice whether or not you want it in your album or your walls

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” and so in you the child your mother lives on and through your family continues to live… so at this time look after yourself and your family as you would your mother for through you all she will truly never die.

 

I Sadly will no longer be taking on “Newborns” however, I am still doing child and baby – so basically 6 month’s plus in age 🙂 I love newborns. It brings me back to sweet memories of my littles. Their tiny little toes, nose and all those precious details. Unfortunately, with my own family it was very hard for me to fit newborns into my busy schedule.

I am working closely with my dear friend Lisa with moments kept photography  that is taking over my newborn inquires. Lisa is located in the McCandles Twp. area and is highly experienced with newborn photography. She provides all the clothing & sets for the session tailoring the session to your desired look to make sure that all the colors and style match your home or nursery. Lisa has a background as a nurse so she is amazing with the care of your newborn throughout your session. She also provides a preparation list for the day of your session so you are completely prepared for the session all you need to do is show up & sit down to relax as Lisa photographs your new baby.

I am really excited to share with all of you that I am a new member of NAPCP (National Association of Professional Child Photographers) Which is the National Association of Professional Child Photographers .

I have some huge goals for 2018 and the only way to manifest them is to get started now.

I think it’s so important to be involved in a community that you can relate with and learn and grow from. NAPCP is the perfect fit for me. I can not wait to see where my dreams take me.
