Day Dream in the clouds

In dreams, we enter a world that’s entirely your own.

There is always a part of me that wants to jump into my sets and play in the clouds , ride the rocking horse and twirl like there is no tomorrow. However, since I am the photogrhaer I don’t always get the chance to do that until everyone is gone and no one is there to take my photo.

So … until that day happens I will just take the photos of your littles doing those things 😉 and I have to admit I LOVE my job so … yes, I do it with a smile on my face and get the same amount of joy watching your littles do all these amazing things.

With each session I create and even in my minis I try to make sure to capture the individual that makes your human so special .

The talk between some photog friends and photog community that stylized photography is dying and I just want to scream from the rooftops – NO IT IS NOT!

Children want to play , they want to look back just like you love to look back and remember these memories of who they are , who they were at these special ages of their life!

I have been slacking in my blogging lately ( ekkkk sorry ya’all ! ) I decided to start with this session because …well to be honest to scared the living heck out of me! WHAT ??? WHY – you ask ??

Ok, first off it was another photographers children – which just naturally makes me nervous. Than add in the girls were 3 & 13 …so I have this age difference , height difference, look difference and teenager & a toddler … I mean I was starting to sweat !

It turned out just the way I sketched out and mum was SUPER HAPPY which in turn made me super happy.

Pittsburgh’s “award” winning child photographer | Honored to take 3rd place in NAPCP national image competition

 

Words really can not express my emotions. I feel honored, blessed, humble and … so much more.

I am a new member of NAPCP and as of recently also a NAPCP 2018-2019 ambassador. I submitted 10 images in February for this NAPCP’s image competition and received the final results yesterday April 23, 2018.

I truly am so excited. This photo is also really special to me because it was one of those photos that I just felt like I started to get it all together and magic started happening. I shot this 2 years ago ( 2016). 2016 for me was really the year I started to feel like I found myself as an artist and to recognized for a photo from that year and in a category that I feel I shine in – really just makes my heart explode in a million glittered stars.

The magic within collection : Is all about the child | Milestone sessions for children 6 months through 16 years of age. These sessions are created around the child with their imagination behind the concept I create. With keeping in mind what they love right now. ( all planned form chatting on the phone ) I have found that it is so important to capture these moments for children so they can look back ( just as important – you can look back ) at these times of their lives and remember how important these “things” are to them. Whether that be the love for Unicorns, reading or swinging. I make sure to freeze those moments to have forever. After all capturing memories will never go out of style.
