pittsburgh childhood imagination session | The magic is in the book

The pre”teen” | tween years… oh man oh man do I remember these years. I was suborn , awkward, I was trying to figure out my place- who I was and what I wanted to be. I was still a child in mind (where I wanted to play with Barbies ) However, I wasn’t looking like the little toddler in my head.

I am not a pre-teen mum YET … However, I am no stranger to it. I have a niece who is now going on 17 ( WHAT ??!!!?? When did that happen ? ) I of course myself went through these years and I will tell you ONE thing. Mum’s are not getting enough of their babies photos at this age.

I was lucky enough to have this little beauty in my studio ( last year (2018)… yes I am behind on blogging) . Do want to hear something funny … Her theme|concept was actually Harry Potter. We had Harry Potter books, color and accessories. It was really fun & cute – However, I asked her if she trusted me to go into another direction out of the dark, magical world she knows best & she trusted me. I had brought “extra” things to the set . Pastel books, a few dresses and some concepts that I sketched out. I brought her out of her “comfort” zone. Dad & Grandma and then mum ( after she saw the soft proofing gallery) were SHOCKED that she agreed and actually LOVED these photos.

I mean … I say it all the time. Sometimes it takes a little faith , trust and pixie dust.

Who doesn’t love a baby animal? For the past few years I have been lucky enough to work closely with a farm who provides these beautiful baby easter animals. These are limited spots !

Please note:<<The goal is to have 1 Bunny, 3 chicks and 1 duck – I am also working on baby goats or a baby lamb. * Farm is checking on what will be born in time >>Available animals may be out of my control so I am not promising what animals or what color the animals will be.

Style suggestions provided

Theme: Pure and organic natural studio setting with Easter animals . The focus is the child with animal(s) not props.

*Parents please note >>This is a live animal- things that they do is out of my control. The animal might poop, pee & may not cooperate(this also includes your child – you would be surprised how many are actually scared of the animals) . However, I will do what I can to get the best shoots.
These animals are rented and come from a farm & will be going back to the farm they are not purchased just for the shoot (they are never harmed in anyway – I have years of experience and have had farm animals in my life that I have cared for)
