MERMAID: A water woman who chooses imagination over fear

Hello, friends!

I am sure ideas are flooding into your mailboxes. Maybe you have already thought of this idea . However, I thought it was fun and could really create some memorable moments and also allow you to play with your camera capturing these moments.

While stuck at home (doing that whole social distancing) and the weather is still not swimming weather here for us in Pittsburgh my kids are itching to do something in their downtime. In fact … it’s even raining so playing outside in the backyard isn’t an option right now either.

We decided that being bathtub mermaids would be fun. They got out their tails (w.o. the monofin attached) and they are each taking a turn sitting in the tub playing with their barbies. Pretending to be mermaids. Tomorrow we play on painting our nails in mermaid colors and even putting a few scales on their face for fun.

If you are worried about getting water everywhere than let them play without the water. Make fake bubbles out of crinkled paper or blow bubbles white they sit in the tub. Make it fun and choose IMAGINATION over FEAR!
